There are some basic things you should know about money. Every day, every other minute, we’re all thinking about money (If you’re not, please tell us how you do it!). Figuring out money and how to deal with it can be exhausting, but we think these points will help you breathe easy.

These are things you should know about money before you hit 25:

1. Pay your debts

If you happened to borrow money from a friend, don’t wait till they start to ask before you pay back. Give them the money when you promised to do so. If you can’t pay back when you promised, explain why and reassure the person that you are working towards repaying them ASAP. It doesn’t matter if the person is your friend or not. It’s just a courtesy anyone would appreciate.

2. Don’t ask your friends to work for free
